Franschhoek Vineyards was founded in 1945 by a group of local farmers to vinify their grapes on a cooperative basis. They are now part of the premium wine stable of DGB Ltd.
Named after one of Franschhoek's historical landmarks, the churchyard details the final resting place of the original Huguenot families and was still in use until the turn of the 20th century. The Cabernet Sauvignon is deep crimson with intense blackcurrants and violets on the nose. The palate is smooth with a lingering juicy finish. Great with casseroles and stews.
