Family owned and operated, Babich Wines were founded in 1916 by Croation immigrant Josip Babich. Today the family produce great wines from New Zealand's finest wine region. Voted New Zealand Wine Producer of the year in 2013.
This is an elegant wine, with a lifted cherry / plum nose complemented by mushroom aromas. The wine is of medium weight with attractive red fruits and spice notes. A beautifully balanced wine with fine tannins and a lingering finish smooth finish. Great with stir fried lamb and steak & mushroom pie.
